Before you book… or while you are booking…

I’m having trouble booking online. What can I do? 
Please contact us – and we’ll do our best to help you out. Email contact@mailbreaks.co.uk or by call 0843 382 0009 between 9am and 5pm GMT, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays (calls cost 7 pence per minute, plus your provider’s charges). To help us fix your problem without delay, please have some information ready for us – we’re likely to ask you about the web browser and device you are using as well as specific details about the issues you’re experiencing.

What if I have some questions before I make my reservation online?
No problem – simply email contact@mailbreaks.co.uk or call 0843 382 0009 between 9am and 5pm GMT, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays (calls cost 7 pence per minute, plus your provider’s charges). Tell us your question and we’ll do our best to help. Don’t forget to tell us which accommodation your question relates to.

There’s no availability for the dates I want. Is there anything I can do? 
Unfortunately, if no availability is showing, the accommodation has no rooms for your dates. We’re not going to be able to help you because one of the many great features of Mail Breaks is that we show up-to-the-minute availability, which means you can always be certain when you make a reservation that it is guaranteed. Please consider changing your dates or looking for an alternative accommodation for the same dates. There’s a lot of great choices on Mail Breaks.

Can I book over the phone rather than online? 
Unfortunately not – Mail Breaks is an online booking service only. However, if you need help with the online booking process, please phone our friendly support team who will guide you through the steps. You can reach them on 0843 382 0009 (calls cost 7 pence per minute, plus your provider’s charges).

If I need to cancel my booking. What is the refund policy? 
Unless you make a non-refundable booking (which will be clearly stated at the time of booking and detailed in the confirmation sent to you by email), you can cancel your booking up to 7 days before the arrival date without being liable for any charges. After this 7-day cut-off, you’ll have to contact the accommodation directly. You’ll find contact details for the accommodation in your booking confirmation.

As any reservation is a contract between you and the accommodation owner, there’s a chance you may not have to pay all the charges. However, this decision is at the sole discretion of the accommodation.

After you’ve booked… and during your stay…

I haven’t received confirmation of my booking by email. How can I be sure the reservation has been made?
Please double check your inbox for emails sent from contact@mailbreaks.co.uk. It’s possible your email provider has filtered your incoming email and sent your confirmation to your Junk or Trash folders, so please also check those.

If you still can’t find the email, please email contact@mailbreaks.co.uk, making sure you include the email you used to make the booking, the name of the accommodation and the dates of your stay. Alternatively, you can phone us on 0843 382 0009 between 9am and 5pm GMT, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays (calls cost 7 pence per minute, plus your provider’s charges) with the details described above.

I‘d like to amend my reservation. What do I need to do?
The only way to amend your reservation is to contact the accommodation directly. Their contact details are included in the booking confirmation email you received at the time of booking on Mail Breaks.

How do I cancel my booking? 
If your arrival date is more than 7 days away, please follow the cancellation link in the confirmation email. Make sure you use your booking confirmation number or ID as well as your email address.

If your arrival date is 7 or fewer days away, please contact the accommodation directly (contact details can be found in your confirmation email). You may not have to pay the full cost of the booking, but this is at the sole discretion of the accommodation owner.

I have questions for the accommodation before my stay. How should I contact them?
Mail Breaks carefully handpicks the accommodations featured on the website and we know they will be pleased to answer any questions you have before your stay. You’ll find their contact details in the booking confirmation we sent you by email. If you downloaded the confirmation at the time of booking you’ll also find the contact details there.

I’ve arrived at the accommodation and  the front desk has no record of my booking. What do I do?
Our technology is designed to ensure that this should never happen, and all of our handpicked accommodation owners are careful to avoid ever making a double booking.

But in the unlikely event your reservation isn’t showing up on their system, please give them your confirmation number – you’ll find this in the booking confirmation we sent to you by email at the time you made the reservation.

If the accommodation owner is still unable to retrieve your booking and cannot honour your booking, they are legally obliged to find you a similar accommodation (of the same standard or higher) close by.

Where appropriate, they are required to supply transport, at their own cost, to get you to the alternative accommodation, and to ensure you receive, at their own cost, any meals that you ordered in advance. I’m staying at the accommodation and I’m not satisfied with the quality and service. What should I do?
The accommodations handpicked by Mail Breaks pride themselves on making sure your stay is both comfortable and enjoyable. They politely request that you bring any problems directly to them so they can do whatever they possibly can to improve your stay.
