About Bodalwyn Guest House

Bodalwyn Guesthouse has seven charming rooms that blend traditional Edwardian style with contemporary comfort. Situated within walking distance of Aberystwyth's Victorian promenade, it is the perfect base from which to explore mid-Wales.

The bilingual establishment serves a fantastic Welsh breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients. Guests will enjoy a truly relaxing stay and the highest level of service. Owners Clive and Hilary are welcoming and helpful - very much reflected in the consistent 5* TripAdvisor reviews the accommodation receives.

The rooms

All seven rooms at Bodalwyn are traditionally decorated and have spacious, modern en-suites with bath and/or power shower. Many have original cast iron fireplaces and views of the nearby seafront.

On the doorstep and nearby

The Victorian seaside resort of Aberystwyth is situated in the heart of Cardigan Bay and has much on offer for visitors of all ages. Make the most of the sea air and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the promenade, or walk the coastal path to the next bay at Clarach. If you fancy more of a challenge, hike up Constitution Hill for an unbeatable bay view.

Culture vultures should visit the 12th century castle ruins, The Ceredigion Museum or The National Library of Wales to discover more about Aberystwyth’s fascinating historical background. The town also has a lively nightlife with many events on offer at the Arts Centre.

Don’t leave without taking the 45-minute steam train journey up the Rheidol Valley to enjoy the spectacular waterfalls of Devil's Bridge. The Cambrian Mountains are further afield but worth the journey for breathtaking views and walking routes.

Worth staying in for ...

It has to be the wonderful Welsh breakfast, made with sausages and bacon from the local butcher and nearby free-range eggs. A full vegetarian option is also available.
