About Queens Head Troutbeck

In a picturesque setting overlooking the Troutbeck Valley sits The Queens Head – a former 17th century coaching inn with fantastic food and comfortable rooms.

The rooms

All rooms have been recently refurbished, and are complete with en-suite facilities. Many are dog-friendly. Several boast stunning views over Garburn Pass, High Street and 111 Bell Ridge.

On the doorstep and nearby

Just three miles from the Queens Head takes you to the popular tourist destination of Windermere. Be sure to enjoy a scenic boat trip around the famous lake and its 18 islands, or spend an afternoon making the most of the diverse felltop hikes and cycle routes on the doorstep.

On the southern tip of the lake sits the must-see Lakes Aquarium – home to a wide range of native marine and freshwater fish. Nearby Kendal is also worth a visit – head to the superb Abbot Hall Art Gallery.

Worth staying in for ...

A delicious meal – the inn is renowned for serving some of the finest food in the area.
