About The Borrowdale Hotel

The Borrowdale Hotel is a four star property located at the foot of Shepherds Crag in the Borrowdale Valley. Built in 1866, it still boasts many original features – including room bells in reception and beautiful oak panelling. The lounge bar is the ideal place to relax, whilst the Victorian veranda is perfect for soaking up the views of the surrounding fells.

The rooms
Three room types, comprising doubles and singles. Choose from Standard, Classic or Prestige. The Prestige rooms are the most spacious, with a separate seating area. Six have beautiful fell views.

On the doorstep and nearby
Be sure to explore Brandlehow Woods on the shore of Derwentwater. Keswick is also nearby, and home to a variety of shops, bars and restaurants – as well as the award-winning Theatre by the Lake.

Both Castlerigg Stone Circle and Friars Cragg are within easy reach. Situated on the Keswick side of the lake, Friars Cragg is highly regarded as one of the best view points in the Lake District.
