About The Horn of Plenty

The Horn of Plenty is a stunning country house hotel with 2AA Rosette restaurant, surrounded by five acres of grounds. With beautiful beaches, gardens and National Trust properties right on the doorstep, it's the perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

The rooms
Room types vary from Comfy and Cosy to the luxurious Deluxe and Best. Each is individually decorated and complete with an en-suite, complimentary toiletries, a mini bar, and tea and coffee making facilities. Many have balconies overlooking the surrounding countryside.

Four rooms are located in the Main House. They boast high ceilings, open fireplaces and beautiful furnishings. Six further rooms are situated in the Original Coach House. Each has a balcony overlooking the walled garden and Tamar Valley. The New Coach House is home to six contemporary rooms, each with luxurious features.

On the doorstep and nearby
The Horn of Plenty is the ideal base from which to explore the Dartmoor National Park. You'll be spoilt for choice with a huge variety of walking and cycling routes on the doorstep, including the trails through the nearby 1000-acre Burrator Reservoir and Forest.

The National Trust owned Buckland Abbey and Cotehele are also nearby, and the Plymouth Gin Distillery can be reached in under an hour. Fishing fans will be pleased to hear that the pretty village of Newton Ferrers offers regular fishing trips.

A meal in the award-winning restaurant. The Horn of Plenty also does a fantastic afternoon tea. Enjoy with Champagne if you're looking to celebrate!

Need to know
All ages welcome. Extra beds, cots and high teas can be provided on request. Dogs are permitted in rooms 5–10. They are welcome in the library, but please note they are not permitted in the restaurant.

There are no lifts at the property, but there is ramp access to the Main House. Room 5 is an accessible ground floor room with a walk-in shower.
