On the doorstep and nearby
Oban is rightly known as the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’ - book a meal at the popular Waterfront Fishouse Restaurant on the South Pier to see what all the fuss is about. For those not so keen on seafood, head to Cuan Mor for great food at an affordable price. The Lamrig Bar is always busy at weekends and usually open until 2am. On a clear afternoon, walk up to McCaig’s Tower for fantastic views across the town and the Inner Hebrides. If you have time, hop on the ferry to the island of Lismore.
